India Postal Depertment Selection for the post of Assistant Director at Postal Training Centre, Mysore

One Post of assistant director, in the grade of PS Group-B is vacant at PTC, Mysore on account of the promotion of present incumbent.

Note: This is a Departmental Selection (Not for General Public)

Applications are called for from willing officers to work as Assistant Director in PTC Mysore. From the applications received, names of shortlisted officers will be sent to Directorate for posting. Hence it is requested to circulate this notice to all eligible Group B officers in your circle/Region/Center. Following are the criteria for the post of Assistant Director.

1. The applicant should be a Graduate and possess thorough knowledge of all Departmental packages and proficiency in latest Information Technology Trends of the department.
 
2. The incumbent of the post should be proficient in computer operations with computer related subjects.
 
3.He/She should be capable to conduct teaching of the subjects related to postal operations, conduct practical oriented teaching in computers and should take responsibility of preparation of training guide/ course modules, updating the resource materials for training guide/course modules, updating the resource materials for training and other work entrusted by the authorities from time to time.

4. Those who have undergone DTS training will be given preference.

5. selected officers are required to stay inside the PTC campus in the residential accommodation provided  to them.

As per the existing rule, asstt director post is entitled for 15% of basic pay as training allowance and rent free accommodation in campus.

The officers who are likely to retire or due for promotion within 2 years need not be sponsored.

Application of those officers against whom any disciplinary action is current or contemplated, need not be forwarded.
